Janet L. Womack, Ed.D.
As the new superintendent, I’m truly honored to serve this amazing community and look forward to meeting and collaborating with students, families, and staff at every school in the division. Botetourt County is home. I went to Colonial Elementary School, Botetourt Intermediate, and am a graduate of Lord Botetourt High School.
My career in public education spans more than three decades. I completed a B.S. in
Mathematics from Liberty University, an M.S. in Educational Leadership from Radford University, and a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership & Policy Studies from Virginia
Tech. During my career, I have served in the following positions: high school mathematics teacher, high school assistant principal, high school principal, and assistant superintendent.
I will post periodic updates to this site to keep you up-to-date and informed. I look forward to continuing to collaborating with our community to achieve the mission statement for the students in Botetourt County Public Schools.
