Mark your calendars!
Is your student in grades 6-12 and plans to...
1. participate in voluntary, school-sponsored, extracurricular activities, and/or
2. register for a parking permit
... then you will need to attend one of the following required meetings:
Jul 23 @ 6:00 PM - Lord Botetourt HS
Jul 27 @ 6:00 PM - James River HS
Jul 30 @ 6:00 PM - Read Mountain MS
Aug 6 @ 6:00 PM - Central Academy MS
Aug 10 @ 6:00 PM - James River HS
Aug 13 @ 6:00 PM - Read Mountain MS
Aug 31 @ 6:00 PM - Lord Botetourt HS
Voluntary activities include all interscholastic athletics designated by the Virginia High School League, all club sports sponsored by Botetourt County Schools, and competitive extracurricular activities in band, choir, FFA, FCCLA, DECA, and SkillsUSA. Registering for a parking permit is also considered a voluntary activity.
These meetings will cover:
- "Healthy Choices, Healthy Lives" presentation by BCPS SAPP Counselors
- Random Drug Testing Policy
- Annual Athletic Policies Video
- VHSL Residency Policy Update
- School-Specific Information
