NEW! PK-5 Report Card Format

Starting in Fall 2025, Botetourt County is using a new elementary report card format in grades PK-5. The revised report cards were developed by a committee of elementary teachers, principals, and central office administrators to ensure the new format aligns with policy and supports students and families.
What's New:
- Simplified reporting of progress in academic subject areas and encore classes.
- Streamlined design that is easier to read and understand.
- Aligned expectations for behavior, work habits, and social skills across all schools.
- One-page layout with teacher comments provided on the back for personalized feedback.
- Note: the same template is used for grades three, four, and five.
Each report card will include an attendance summary, an explanation of marks, and a grade scale (when applicable). The changes are designed to help you stay informed about your child's general progress; questions about specific academic standards or other concerns about your student should be directed to your child's teacher(s).
