Special Education

Special education services and related services are provided to all eligible students with disabilities. Eligible students with disabilities, ages 2 through 21, receive a free and appropriate public education until graduation or program completion.

Special education services are available to students who have autism, a hearing impairment, mental retardation, multiple disabilities, an orthopedic impairment, other health impairments, a serious emotional disturbance, severe and profound disabilities, a specific learning disability, a speech or language impairment, a traumatic brain injury, or a visual impairment. Related services, including (but not limited to) occupational therapy, physical therapy, speech-language therapy, and special transportation are available to assist students to benefit from special education.

Special education services and related services are provided as specified in a student's Individualized Education Program (IEP). Parents of transferring students are requested to forward an IEP at their earliest convenience. Further information is available from the schools principal or guidance counselor or from the Supervisor of Special Education.
