The Botetourt Education Foundation will be holding an open house on Sunday May 25th, Sunday June 1st, and Sunday June 8th from 2-4pm for anyone to stop by and tour the house.
Interested parties can also submit bids to purchase the house. I believe Brian Austin at the School Administration office is coordinating the bid process. We have photos on the Botetourt Education Foundation website here:
Here are the particulars of the tiny house supplied by BCPS administrator Brian Austin:
The Botetourt County School Board will be accepting sealed bids until 4:00 p.m. on Friday, June 13, 2014 for the “tiny house” listed below.
12 X 24 house (“Tiny House”)
4/12 pitched green metal roofing
Walls are on 16’ o.c. and 8’ tall
Living area and kitchen
Bedroom with closet
Spray foam insulation in the interior of roof and floors
Fiberglass insulation in the exterior walls
Handmade kitchen cabinets
Interior walls and ceiling are finished tongue and groove maple, poplar, and pine paneling
Outside is cedar siding
Fair market appraisal - $16,583
The bid opening will take place in the Board room at the SBO on June 13, 2014 at 4:00 p.m. Bids may not be withdrawn after the time set for opening.
The Botetourt County Public Schools Education Foundation is supporting this effort by offering open houses on Sunday, May 25, Sunday, June 1, and Sunday, June 8 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. The house is located at Lord Botetourt High School.
