The third annual Rachel’s Challenge Community event is scheduled for Dec. 5 at Lord Botetourt High School.

This event is sponsored by the Friends of Rachel Clubs from each Botetourt County secondary school. It will take place in conjunction with the boys’ basketball game between James River and Lord Botetourt.

The pre-game activities will be held in the Lord Botetourt High School cafeteria and auxiliary gym from 5 to 6:30 p.m. All pre-game activities are free and open to the community and will include a cornhole tournament, airbrush tattoos, face painting, hair braiding, bungee racing and more.

If you are interested in participating in the cornhole tournament, contact Summer Underwood at sunderwood@bcps.k12.va.us.

Regular admission fees will apply for admittance to the basketball game.
