Peter Tainer - U.S. Paralympics High School All-American

Peter Tainer, a senior at Lord Botetourt, is recognized as a member of this team in the 400m dash with a qualifying time of 1:01.26! Peter is classified as a T43, a double below the knee amputee. In this classification he is currentl
y ranked #6 in the world in the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) Rankings for the 400m event. Fresh of a week of training at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, CA, Peter is now a Paralympic hopeful for the London 2012 Games, which are less than a year away. This year Peter will be working on meeting the London "A" team standards as well as the U.S. National "A" and "B" team standards to secure a spot on the U.S. Team.
