Greenfield Elementary- Earth Week

posted Apr 24, 2013, 11:47 AM by bcps web

We’ve been enjoying lots of fun activities this week in celebration of Earth Week.  We’ve visited with guests, watched “The Lorax” and colored pictures, took a nature walk, planted seeds, played games made with recycled materials, learned about recycling and had a lot of fun learning!

A local beekeeper brought in some bees for us to see and honey stix for us to taste!  There was also a display of bird nests and eggs.  Through the window, you can see our school-wide helping hands art project.

One of over 200 bluebird houses around our school.

The favorite thing to do on a nature walk? Blow
        dandelions!
