CAMS Veteran's Day Assembly

Builders Club created a Wall of Honor for Veterans.  CAMS students submitted information on family members, friends and neighbors who are veterans.  The Wall of Honor is displayed until the end of the month on the D-hall bulletin board.

Builders Club members worked before and after school to prepare for the Veterans Day assembly.  Students involved were Montana Snavely, Caitlyn Lewis, R.J. Bryant, Ashley Britt, Matthew Cahoon, Austin Metz, Bailey Marshall, Hannah Wright, Brianna Baldwin, Brianna Dunbar, Brian Murray, Meghan Hickok, Zac Boggess, Jessica Gross, Sadie Jones and James Leftwich. These students decorated the front of the school with flages, and planned and developed the program which they then presented on Monday November 12, 2012.  Mr. Pendleton and Mr. McClung gave opening and closing remarks for the assembly.

CAMS was honored to have the following guest speakers for our Veterans Day assembly:  Rudy Metz (United States Air Force), Master Chief John D. Fedor (United States Navy), Sgt Flint (United States Marines) and Bill Hickok (United States Navy). Boy Scouts Kevin Haley and Brian Murray performed the flag ceremony.  Mr. Divers and the CAMS band gave a wonderful performance of the National Anthem and Military Tribute.  Brianna Dunbar and Nicole Boothe, accompanied by Mrs. Stump on the piano, beautifully sang "God Bless the USA".  The students honored  our speakers as well as their family members, friends and neighbors who have served our country in the Armed Forces.  Honored guests were treated to a reception following the assembly.
