Special Education Advisory Committee Presents - “Dyslexia: An Overview for Parents”
The Botetourt County Public Schools Special Education Advisory Committee (SEAC) will be meeting on Tuesday, April 19th at 7pm in the library of Read Mountain Middle School. A special presentation will be given by Amy Kelly, School Psychologist, and Karen Turner, Special Education Coordinator, on “Dyslexia: An Overview for Parents”.
The regular business meeting will take place prior to the presentation at which time the Annual Plan and the new VDOE Parent Input Survey will be discussed.
The Botetourt County Special Education Advisory Committee functions to advise the school division of needs in the education of children with disabilities. In addition, the SEAC assists in the development of long-range plans, priorities and strategies for meeting the identified needs of children with disabilities. The SEAC is comprised of parents of students with disabilities, representatives of local agencies, community members and school representatives.
