Each year school divisions in Virginia are required to measure how well our schools facilitated parent involvement in the special education process over the past school year. To meet this requirement school divisions must annually survey all parents/guardians of school-aged children receiving special education services. The results are compiled from these surveys and help guide efforts to improve services for children with disabilities.
The parent survey is on-line. To access the 2012-2013 Parent Survey go to the following survey link: https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/2012VAParentInvolvementSurvey. You may complete the survey from a home computer with an internet connection, on a computer at your local library, or on a computer at your child’s school. If you would like to use a school computer to access the survey, please contact your child’s principal. If you would like to receive a paper survey, please contact your local Supervisor of Special Education or the assistant to special education:
